Allowing AI shopping agents on your store
Linked from your report · nothing here runs before a walk — your walk already ran exactly as your store is today
Your walk ran on your store exactly as it is — no setup step, no per-platform pre-work. This page explains what a robots-blocked cart/checkout finding in your report actually means on your platform, and what (if anything) to do about it.
Human-only checkout is Shopify's own policy — not your defect
Shopify's default robots.txt closes storefront /cart and /checkout to every agent, with a header addressed to agents: "Checkouts are for humans." That is a platform-wide policy decision Shopify makes for every store on its platform, not a setting in your store and not something your report ever counts against you.
Shopify's own agent-purchase path is UCP (Universal Commerce Protocol): a manifest published at /.well-known/ucp that points agents to an MCP transport. Your report's platform_protocol_path finding shows exactly what we read from your store's own UCP manifest — whether it's present, what it advertises, and whether the transport endpoint answered. There's nothing to configure to get a passing walk on Shopify; if your store's UCP path is thin or absent, that's a Shopify-platform/app configuration question for your developer or app support, not a robots.txt edit.
A robots-blocked cart or checkout is a real finding — here's the fix
Outside Shopify, if your own robots.txt disallows an agent from /cart or /checkout, that shows up in your report as blocked_by_robots_policy — a genuine finding, because a rule-following shopping agent stops there and never reaches your checkout. To fix it, allow a well-identified purchase agent in robots.txt:
### Allow our merchant-authorized audit agent User-agent: AIStoreShopperCheck Allow: /
If you already added a rule for our prior identity (StelarTitanCheck or TitanCheck), it's still honored through 2026-11-30 — but the rule above is the current one to use going forward.
Or, if you'd rather not open your storefront's robots.txt to agents generally, publish an agent-purchase path the way Shopify does — a manifest at /.well-known/ucp pointing to a supported transport. Either fix is legitimate; a re-check will show whichever one your store took.
