Will this mess with my store?
No. The agent browses like one careful customer: it looks at pages, follows your store's own navigation and category links to find a product, adds one item to a cart, and stops at the checkout page. It never pays, never creates an account, and never types anything into your forms — including any search box — so there's no junk input to clean up.
Does the agent need special access to my store?
No login, no admin access, no app install, and no setup before we walk your store. It's an authorized visitor to your public storefront only, browsing under a named agent identity (AIStoreShopperCheck/1.0) (stores that already wrote a rule for StelarTitanCheck keep working until 2026-12-01), and it obeys your robots.txt exactly as published — it never overrides any robots.txt rule. On Shopify, that includes closed storefront checkout — that's Shopify's rule, not something in your control, and it's never scored as a defect in your store (see the machine-to-machine proof above).
On any other platform, if your own robots.txt blocks cart or checkout for automated visitors, that's a real finding in your report — with plain-language fix guidance — because a rule-following shopping agent stops right there. See what your report finds and what to do about it on the fix page.
What if my store passes everything?
Then you get a report that says so — with the grades, the walk log, and what your store does right. Knowing an AI shopper can buy is the point; most owners have never seen their store through an AI shopper's eyes either way.
Why does this matter now?
The major AI assistants have started shopping and checking out on behalf of their users. Whether that becomes a big sales channel or a small one, stores that silently fail those visits won't be in it. This check tells you which side you're on today.
